family and vegas......

not vegas family.

first. my uncle john and aunt karen came for a visit palm sunday weekend. my bro, sis, sis, and niece also came for a visit.....







































































then on thursday and good friday taylor and i headed to vegas for kristen and johns wedding....

lyle recommended the steak dinner special at ellis island. we went, but there was well over an hour wait, plus we seemed a bit to dressed up for the place. dressed up meaning not old enough. so we didnt end up eating there.

we did go to planet hollywood in caesars palace to eat. we stayed at planet hollywood last year for our wedding night.












































we walked around thursday night and friday before the wedding.
pictured is susan and her boyfriend jason. she is the manager of taylors starbucks and they let us stay in there room when we got kicked out of ours because of checkout.

we headed home after the reception around 11pm. we had to get home to the house full of animals. sorry lyle.

and sorry for the delay in posting. i have been really busy. and my camera has been dying so i dont have as many pictures as i use to (except for billions of animal pics). i just got a new camera in the mail though, so i hope it will pick up.....

first times a charm......

brother jed came back to fresno at the beginning of the month. you may have remembered my post on him about a year ago. he was the ultimate crazy "preacher" guy. i only made it to the end of his day at fresno state, so maybe i missed the main fireworks, but i did end up going out to dinner with him and had a chance to talk to him one on one....



didnt seem as crazy one on one. i guess we will always have 2008.....

one year ago......

about one year ago, taylor and i got married. since we were married on the 29th of february, we chose to celebrate our anniversary on the 28th, the last day of february (that and my brothers anniversary is on march 1).

here was our night......

first, stephen was a singing telegram singing "you are so beautiful to me" a la the simpsons season 2 episode 2, where marge gets a singing telegram on their anniversary.











i should have had great video of it as well, but my camcorder didnt record. blast. it was great anyways. much thanks again steebo.

we then went out to dinner at a restaurant in the lobby of the visalia marriott called zhou, very upscale, meaning very expensive for very little food.






























































because it was our anniversary, they gave us free wine to go with our meals, on the house....
(let the comments begin, at least make them clever.....)






















as well as a complimentary cheesecake......



after dinner we went to tulare to go and see the movie coraline. it was the closest theater in the area showing the movie in tru3d. the story/movie was alright, but the 3d was amazing. if you see the movie, you HAVE to see it in 3d. these are the special polarized 3d glasses they give you to watch the movie.....



well it was a fun and special night. to many more......

murphy's law.....

i really hate murphys law. i havent wandered downtown for months and months, and of course the one time i decide to stop by to see what i have been missing, a fight and me without my cameras....

it wasnt the best fight, but it was the funniest one. all i had was my camera phone.







it was two brothers who were mad at each other. they actually waited for me to get my phone out and ready.

i also have a bit of bad quality video of them fighting later, with words. funny, funny, crying words.....

i was so mad that my phone only shoots 20 seconds of video at a time, then there is like a full minute of file saving before i get to shoot again....
