if its not one thing......

so i was on my way to work today when a car pulled out in front of me on the highway. i slammed on my brakes to avoid the car. the car finally sees me and slams on their brakes, stopping directly in the middle of the intersection. i now have to swerve around the car, since they are sitting in the middle of the intersection, narrowly miss hitting a stop sight post swerving back trying not to jump off the road onto the airport landing strip, with my car finally settling feet from a street light. my front tire got shredded from hitting the curb and hopefully that is all the damage that happened. the front end may have a bit of damage, as i hit the curb at like 35mph.

here is the kicker about the whole thing. because i missed hitting the other car and i my car was the only one with damage, the accident is my fault, until i prove otherwise, and maybe not even then. i guess i should have tboned the other car doing 55 and made it their fault. i guess i should at least be happy that the other car turned around to make sure i was okay. which i then made sure she stayed until the highway patrol came.

this camera phone picture is all i have of the accident right now. my parents came out to help and i have a couple more pics of the skid marks i took with my moms camera which i may post later......





the funniest part about the whole ordeal, is that just before my parents made it out to me in corcoran, i called them to see how far away they were. as i was talking to my mom she says "uh oh, i think your dad is about to get pulled over". he did get pulled over and it was the same chp that helped me with my accident report. as the cop walked up to their window, my dad was like, "are you officer krahn? you just helped me with my son and we are on our way out there right now...." funny. since no one died.
