coupons now used to save portion sizes......

(or i cant believe i ate the whole thing.......)

so taylor and i decided to treat ourselves to applebees tonight. i had received some coupons in the mail that made it quite a bit more affordable, so we decided to get it without a special purpose.

to save the extra couple bucks on a tip, we decided to just call in the order and pick it up ourselves. so i called and told them what we wanted, i got the "NEW Asiago Peppercorn Steak" and taylor got the "NEW Spicy Shrimp Diavolo". i told them that we had a coupon and they said that it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes.

we go pick up the food and head back to the house. i open up my entree and i find not only a skimpy portion, but a retarded amount of potatoes and unproportioned vegetables (i like broccoli the most and yellow squash the least). there wasnt even A (1) whole piece of broccoli. there was however an ENTIRE squash in there. i almost didnt even choose that meal because of the squash.....

now on the menu this meal lists for $10.49. my coupon boasted $5.50, i read the fine print, but there must have been finer print that says the portions are also halved. im kidding. applebees is just dumb. would they really try and get away with this meal for over $10? there gimmick for these meals is that they are only 550 calories, but if i really wanted to only eat 550 calories id just buy a smaller meal for cheaper.....

maybe i should have gone to papa murphy's and got a family size cowboy? for only 10.99.....

oh. and happy birthday kevin.

I'm with ya on the squash. I've always had problems with Applebees, never go there. Lyle
